If you're craving authentic Kelantanese cuisine, Warisan Kelate is a must-visit, especially for their signature Nasi Kerabu. This vibrant dish immediately stands out with its naturally blue rice — colored using bunga telang (butterfly pea flower) — giving not just visual appeal but a subtle floral note to the fragrance. The rice is perfectly cooked: not too wet, not too dry, and infused with a light herbal aroma that complements the rest of the ingredients. What truly steals the show, though, is the fried chicken. Golden brown and crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside — it's served hot and fresh, and it’s easy to see why this is the restaurant’s biggest draw. It’s crunchy perfection that pairs exceptionally well with the herbaceous and tangy notes of the salad-like ulam and the shredded cabbage topping. The spicy sambal is no joke — fiery and bold, it's not for the faint-hearted. But if you can handle the heat, mixing it into the rice creates a flavor bomb that ties all the elements together beautifully. On the side, there’s also a piece of keropok (crackers) for added crunch and a half of salted egg, offering a creamy, salty contrast to the dish. Having visited several times, I can say this place never disappoints. The flavors are consistent, the portions are satisfying, and every plate feels like a lovingly prepared home-cooked meal. The only downside? It gets very crowded during lunch hours, and parking can be a challenge, so plan your visit accordingly. Overall, Warisan Kelate offers a truly delicious and authentic taste of Nasi Kerabu. A top spot for anyone who appreciates bold Malaysian flavors.

Ordered take away for nasi kerabu ayam masak merah and nasi dagang ikan. Both taste great except there isn't much meat from the piece of chicken. Otherwise all good!

Best place to try out Kelantanese cuisine. Here are some of the menus that I felt worth mentioning. Do try out their soothing blue pea flower drink (Air Bunga Telang). My recommendation of Nasi Kerabu( rice mixture of herbs & raw salad) pairing with ;- Sambal paru 5/5 Mutton Curry 5/5 Daging Kerutuk 5/5 Solok lada tasted good too. This place is well lit and clean. Do check out their merchandise like batiks and sauces at their display corner. Polite servers and helpful.

First time having Chinese kelantanese food. The food is perfectly seasoned with the right amout of flavours which resulted in a well rounded taste without any overpowering flavours. There is lots of choices around here and the portion is just nice for you to savour the flavours without being too full. Price is reasonable and the owner and staff is friendly. Even helped to inform us when there is council officer to issue summons incase someone forgotten to display the parking coupons. Highly recommended to give it a try. Definitely one of the best authentic local food.

This is the first time I've eaten such delicious Malay food. It's great that there is air conditioning in the room during the hot afternoon.
